BOARD OF DIRECTORS


JOHN C. SMYTH

PRESIDENT

John is an active commercial real estate consultant/manager as the president of Real Property Solutions LLC, located in Philadelphia. As a resident of Bella Vista, he was a founding member of the Bella Vista Town Watch which was recently reorganized as the Bella Vista Neighbors Association. He also handled much of the organizational work for these organizations and the Friends of the South Street Police Mini-Station. John is also volunteers his time at the Palumbo Recreation Center and the Charles Santore Library.


Love of a strong urban community and great food are just a few of the reasons that John purchased his first home in Bella Vista over 20 years ago which then lead to raising his family in the same neighborhood.

WILLIAM T. JOSEM

VICE PRESIDENT

Bill is a 25-year resident of Bella Vista, having lived on South 10th Street since 1989. Bill was an active volunteer in the formation of the Bella Vista Town Watch which he recently helped to reorganize as the Bella Vista Neighbors Association. He is an attorney and partner at Cleary, Josem & Trigiani LLP in Philadelphia and has handled all of the legal work for the Friends of the South Street Police Mini-Station.  Bill continues to be excited by the vibrancy of our Bella Vista neighborhood.

FREDRIC A. HAYMAN

TREASURER

Ric has been a resident of Bella Vista for over 20 years. As a founding member, Ric has been a very active volunteer in Bella Vista Town Watch and its recent re-branding as Bella Vista Neighbors Association. As Treasurer, Ric also handles financial and IT support for Bella Vista Neighbors Association, Friends of the South Street Police Mini-Station, and Friends of the Charles Santore Library.



Ric is the managing partner of Provident Technology, providing outsourced information technology services to small businesses in the Philadelphia area. Ric volunteers IT support for these community organizations as he continues to enjoy his ongoing relationship with police, library and the Bella Vista community.

MONA PLUMER

SECRETARY

Mona is an Associate Broker/Manager at Elfant Wissahickon Realtors. She was previously President of Plumer & Associates Realtors, a longtime business on South Street. She has a deep connection to the area as her family has lived or worked on South Street since the early 1900s. Currently a Wash West resident, Mona has served on the SSHD Safety and Real Estate Renaissance committees as well as the Board of the Greenwich Walk Condo Association. Mona is dedicated to working to achieve a safe and inviting community for all.

 

Stephen Iacobucci

Board Member

Steve is a third-generation builder and developer and has participated in various roles within the home building, multi-family development, asset & property management business. Steve graduated from St. Joseph's University in 2011 with a B.S. in Business Management and holds a Masters in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University. Steve currently oversees the operations and asset management for a portfolio of suburban and urban situated multi-family,  rental homes and student housing properties as well as the operations for the residential building division. Steve has lived in the South Street corridor for 10-years and currently resides in Queen Village with wife Allie. 

Steve is an avid cyclist. He participates in various annual charity rides and runs, including the Multiple Sclerosis 150 City to Shore, American Cancer Society Bike-a-Thon and Irish Pub Philly Police Children's Foundation Tour de Shore. In addition to his work with the Friends of the South Street Police Station, Steve is also a volunteer with Vest-A-Cop in Delaware County and an active member with the Urban Land Institute & Home Builder Association. He volunteers at the Alzheimer's Association, where he serves and has served on various committees and was the Advocacy Honoree at the 2018 Party in Purple Gala. 

Eugene Desyatnik

Board Member

Eugene Desyatnik lives on the 700 block of S 8th Street with his wife and three children. As President of the Bella Vista Neighbors Association, Eugene’s focus includes empowering neighbors and businesses with the tools and information necessary to navigate city processes, and identify and implement solutions that improve their quality of life.  His interests include clean, safe and accessible streets, historic preservation, commercial vibrancy, and maintaining our public spaces.  In addition to BVNA and the Mini Station, he also serves on the Friends of Palumbo Park, Historic B'Nai Abraham, and the Meredith School Advisory Council (SAC).   Professionally, Eugene is a data and solutions architect focused on the e-commerce and financial services vertical, currently working at Radial (a Bpost company).
